Dr. Chrisman graduated from Lafayette College with A.B. in Biology in 1967 and George Washington University School of Medicine in 1971. After a medical internship at Washington Hospital Center, Washington , D.C., he completed his adult psychiatry training at McLean Hospital, Belmont, MA and child and adolescent psychiatry training at Beth Israel Hospital, Boston, MA in 1976. He then went on active duty in the U.S. Navy and was stationed at Bremerton, WA for two years. Upon completion of his military service he worked as a child psychiatrist at the Harvard Community Health Plan in the Boston area for over 13 years and was on the faculty of Harvard Medical School . In 1994, Dr. Chrisman became a faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University Medical Center. His professional responsibilities have included a variety of administrative positions, clinical trials and teaching. Dr. Chrisman is the senior pharmacotherapist for the CAMS, TASA and POTS II trials. He had previously been a pharmacotherapist in the POTS I trial. In addition to participating in the PCAAD program, he is also Program Training Director of the Duke University Hospital -Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Residency Program. Hobbies include photography and travel. |
