POST-DOCTORAL OPPORTUNITY - DUKE UNIVERSITY MEDICAL CENTER.

The Duke ADHD Program at the Child and Family Study Center in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences has an opening for a unique post-doctoral training opportunity for a licensed or license-eligible clinical psychologist with a doctoral degree from an APA-approved internship.  This is a two-year position beginning July, 2008.  The position will involve working approximately 30% on an NIMH-funded psychosocial study for children with ADHD and organizational skill deficits (Dr. Karen Wells, PI).  The remainder of the time for this position will be funded through approximately 50% clinical work in the ADHD Program (individual and family therapy, psycho-educational groups, diagnostic evaluations for all ages), and 10% work on other clinical research projects.  10% time will be protected for research activities taking into account the applicant’s long-term career goals.  Advanced training will be provided in state-of-the-art, evidence-based assessment and treatment through didactics, faculty mentorship, and participation in several ongoing clinical research programs. Candidates should have a strong background in behavioral and cognitive-behavioral interventions.  Experience with ADHD patients is preferred but not required.  Interested applicants should send a CV and statement of interest to Dr. Scott H. Kollins (Director, Duke ADHD Program) at kolli001@mc.duke.edu.  Female and minority applicants are particularly encouraged to apply.
