ADHD Evaluations

Do you (or your child) experience difficulties with the following?

If you answered yes to several of the items above, an evaluation may be helpful to find out if you (or your child) meets criteria for ADHD and what treatment might be helpful to reduce the problems.

We provide comprehensive ADHD evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults to determine whether criteria for ADHD are met and whether any other psychological concerns such as anxiety or depression are present. The goal of these evaluations is to generate a set of individualized treatment recommendations that will improve how well a person functions at school, work, and in family and social relationships and provide coordinated care across physicians, teachers, and mental health clinicians.

The patient and/or guardians and teachers will be asked to complete a packet of forms including a history questionnaire and rating scales which will be sent to you by Michelle Lepsch-Halligan, our program specialist. Once the packet is returned an appointment will be scheduled. During this appointment, patient and/or guardian will be asked to complete a computer-generated interview that asks about a range of symptoms. Additionally, the patient and/or guardian will be interviewed at length by the clinician regarding symptoms of ADHD as well as any other areas of concern. Feedback is given with regard to diagnosis and treatment recommendations at the end of the visit. A written evaluation summarizing the findings is provided approximately one month following the appointment. All infomation is confidential.

Have you (or your child) already been diagnosed with ADHD, but want more information about what may be contributing to difficulties and what to do about it?

As a specialty clinic, we receive many calls from parents and adults across the country who are not sure they have received a thorough evaluation and wonder whether there are other treatments that may be helpful. Sometimes an individual’s situation is very complex and there may be more than one area of difficulty that needs attention. In addition, when a child has been diagnosed at a young age, their symptoms and treatment needs may change as they get older. Our comprehensive evaluations and expert staff are able to answer such questions and provide a range of evidence–based treatment recommendations.
