Staff

           

    Michelle Lepsch-Halligan is our program specialist and manages our outpatient clinic.

    She handles all intake calls and scheduling of appointments with faculty and interns. She

    graduated from SUNY Oswego in 1996 with a BS in Elementary Education. In her spare

    time, Michelle enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her family.

     

 

KB      Karen Burns is the lead research assistant working on the Multimodel Treatment Study

     of ADHD Children (MTA). She graduated from Duke University in 2007 with a B.A.

     in Psychology and is currently a graduate student at UNC's School of Social Work.

     She enjoys working with local theatres, traveling and cooking.

 

Kristi Carver Kristi Carver is the study coordinator for two Adult ADHD Medication Studies and for the Long Term Study of Strattera in Children with ADHD. She is also a research assistant for the MTA Study. She came to the ADHD Program in the fall of 2003 after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in psychology. When she’s not at work, Kristi enjoys spending time with friends, working in her yard, and taking her puppy for walks.


Joseph English Joseph English is the study coordinator for two NIDA–funded adult ADHD studies (Dr. Kollins, PI). He has been with the Department of Psychiatry since 2002. He graduated from the Duke Nicholas School with his masters and bachelors from SUNY Binghamton. He enjoys reading, listening to the radio, and consuming NC BBQ.



 

Melissa FairclothMelissa Faircloth is a research assistant for the Pharmocological Treatment of ADHD in Young Children and the NIEHS Cytogenetics Study. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2005 with a B.A. in Psychology. Melissa enjoys reading, music, and playing with her dog.

     Alex Holdaway is a research assistant on the NIDA-funded ADHD smoking study,

     ADHD sleep study and various future projects. He graduated with a B.A. in Psychology

     and a minor in Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2008.

     In his spare time he wonders how he gave up UNC for Duke (and fishing, sports, and music.)

                                         

       

     Sarah Hostetter is the research assistant for the Organization, Time Management, and

     Planning study.  She graduated from Duke University in 2009 with a BA in psychology

     and a minor in religion. She enjoys volunteering at the Duke Children's Hospital

     and spending time at the beach.

 

  

Rebecca McIntyre Rebecca McIntyre is the program coordinator of the Preschool Study. She helps with the summer academic treatment groups, clinical assessments, and is the coordinator of the ADHD Learning & Education Center. She recently received her M.Ed. with a concentration in educational support for families dealing with illness/disability. She is currently combining this degree with clinical training in psychosocial support at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Rebecca enjoys reading, the outdoors, and spending time with her family.     

 

     Benjamin O'Brien is a research assistant with the NIDA-sponsored adult smoking

     and ADHD behavioral studies project. Ben graduated from UNC Wilmington with a

     major in Psychology and a minor in Science, Humanities and Society. In his spare

     time, Ben enjoys surfing, ping pong, guitar, hanging out with his girldfiend, Brittiney,

     and sharing his home with Marley & Bella, the house "canines."   

 

Nilda Itchon–Ramos Nilda Itchon–Ramos is a Clinical Research Coordinator III and works on a number of studies in the ADHD Program.  She is primarily responsible for the execution of several clinical trials and also coordinates regulatory and IRB information for the entire program.  She holds an undergraduate degree in Biology and a Doctor of Medicine and Residency Training in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
