Faculty

Meet the Duke ADHD Program faculty:

  • Allan Chrisman, M.D., Medical Director, Duke ADHD Program graduated from Lafayette College with A.B. in Biology in 1967 and George Washington University School of Medicine in 1971.
  • Rachel E. Dew, M.D., MHSc., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
  • David P. FitzGerald, Ph.D. is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Duke Medical Center and he holds a secondary appointment in the Department of Psychology at Duke University.  Dr. Fitzgerald is also the Director of Research Operations for the Duke ADHD Program.
  • Kristina Hardy, Ph.D. is an Assistant Clinical Professor with the Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Hardy is the Director of Clinical Services & Training for the Duke ADHD Program.
  • Scott H. Kollins, Ph.D., Director, Duke ADHD Program, is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the Duke Medical Center.
  • Desiree W. Murray, Ph.D., Associate Director, Duke ADHD Program has worked at Duke since 1994 and is currently Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry.
  • Hima Ravi, M.D., Associate Medical Director, Duke ADHD Program is a Clinical Associate in the Department of Psychiatry at Duke University Medical Center.
  • Lisa Senatore Ahern, Ph.D. is a post-doctoral trainee working on a variety of projects in the ADHD Program.
  • Sarah E. Shook, Ph.D., is a Clinical Associate in the Department of Psychiatry
  • Elizabeth Van Voorhees, Ph.D., is a  Clinical Associate in the Department of Psychiatry

Staff

Meet the Duke ADHD Program staff:

  • Michelle Lepsch-Halligan is currently our program specialist and manages our outpatient clinic.
  • Karen Burns is a research assistant working on the Multimodel Treatment Study of ADHD children (MTA).
  • Kristi Carver is the study coordinator for two Adult ADHD Medication Studies and for the Long Term Study of Strattera in Children with ADHD.
  • Joseph English is the study coordinator for a NIDA–funded adult ADHD study.
  • Melissa Faircloth is a research assistant for the Pharmocological Treatment of ADHD in Young Children and the NIEHS Cytogenetics Study.
  • Matt Hallyburton is a research assistant working on several adult ADHD studies and the MTA.
  • Rebecca McIntyre, M.A., M.Ed., is the program coordinator of the Preschool Study and the ADHD Learning Center.
  • Kristen E. Newitt is a Research Assistant for the Organizational Skills Training Project.
  • Nilda Itchon–Ramos, Ph.D., is a Clinical Research Coordinator III and works with a number of different studies in the Duke ADHD Program..
